"La Macarena" ha regresado para conquistar a las nuevas generaciones con "El macarena challenge". Este reto consiste en bailar la famosa coreografía de la década de los 90 luego que alguien entone el conocido coro: "Hey Macarena" sin importar el momento y el lugar en el que se encuentren. "El macarena challenge" practicado por chicos y grandes en lugares públicos como tiendas departamentales, restaurantes, avenidas, transporte público entre otros, ha invadido las redes.
